When you sign in via Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture to create and manage your account.
We store the content you create or import — recipes (text and images), cookbook structures, and sharing preferences — so it's available to you across devices and shared with the people you choose.
To keep the App stable and secure, we automatically collect:
If you choose to enable usage analytics in the App settings, we collect anonymous interaction data such as which features you use and how often. Analytics are disabled by default and only activated with your explicit consent.

We use the Google Gemini API for AI-powered recipe extraction from URLs and photos. When you import a recipe, the relevant text or image is sent to Google's servers for processing. Google does not use data submitted via the paid Gemini API for training its models.
You can control data collection preferences in the App under Profile → Privacy.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Your data is primarily stored on Google Cloud servers within the European Union.
Account data is retained as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time via the App settings or at https://dishwise.de/delete-account.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@dishwise.de.
